The problem we kept running into

A CPA or bookkeeper bills $3,000–$6,000 to turn a year of receipts into clean books — and you still have to gather the receipts yourself. The proof of every expense already exists: it's sitting in your inbox, in a folder of phone photos, in a stack of PDFs. The painful part was never the math. It was the document hunt — finding each receipt, matching it to the right charge, and noticing the ones that are missing.

What we're building

Reconcily is an agent for that hunt. Connect your email inboxes, drop in scanned receipts and statements, and import your bank feeds — and it reads every document, matches each to your transactions, flags what's missing, and exports reconciled books and a Schedule C. Every line traces back to a source document, so the result holds up to your accountant or an audit.
